New India Assurance Company Limited (NIACL) AO and the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) SO Exam are one-time standard recruitment examinations. These tests aim to select the best potential candidates for the National Insurance Company Limited (NIACL) AO and the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) SO, respectively.

Both organizations are government-owned and recruit employees after a thorough screening process. Difference between NIACL AO Exam & IBPS SO Exam:

NIACL AO and IBPS SO exams, though very similar, differ in some aspects.

  1. Duration: The New India Assurance Company AO exam is for an hour, whereas the IBPS SO exam lasts two hours.
  2. Pattern of exam: Though both exams have objective-type questions and negative marking, they test different aspects. There are three papers in the New India Assurance Company Limited AO Exam: Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension Skills. In IBPS SO exam, there are two papers: Reasoning Ability and English Comprehension Skills.
  3. Number of questions: Both exams have the same number of questions, i.e. 200, but IBPS SO has more questions in English Comprehension Skills, whereas NIACL AO has more questions in Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability.
  4. Number of attempts: The NIACL AO exam can be taken as many times as desired, but only six attempts are allowed for the IBPS SO

NIACL AO Exam

The NIACL AO Exam is conducted by the New India Assurance Company Limited (NIACL) to select applicants for the post of Assistant Officer (Executive). NIACL, one of the leading banks in the country, conducts a Computer-Based Test (CBT). It is a public sector under the Ministry of Finance, Government of India. Apart from providing insurance services, NIACL also provides banking facilities. It has more than 25 branches all over India, operating in 13 cities. Given below is the IBPS SO Selection Process.

IBPS SO Selection Process

IBPS SO Exam is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) for Bank Clerk, PO and Specialist Officer. The IBPS conducts a computer-based test (CBT). Besides conducting various examinations for recruitment, IBPS also provides training to aspirants to clear exams. The IBPS has over 11 regional centres in all major cities in India that offer training to candidates who wish to prepare for these examinations. It also has a training centre in NJR Hyderabad where candidates are provided job-oriented training

Significance of NIACL AO and IBPS SO Exams:

Approximately 15 lakh candidates appear for the NIACL AO and IBPS SO exams. Some prominent companies that recruit candidates through these exams are the Indian Bank, Bank of Baroda, the State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, etc
