ways to train your yorkies to be professional

Must Read

Yorkies are known for being loving and playful dogs, but they can also be very professional when it comes to work. Whether you’re looking to train your Yorkie for a specific job or just want them to have good manners in public, there are a number of ways you can teach them the ropes. we’ll outline some of the best methods for training your Yorkie to be professional.

Start training your yorkies when they are young

If you are reading this then it must be that you have decided to get yourself a Yorkshire terrier.  As with everything in life, there is always that one step further, so before adopting your new teacup pup let it be known that the earlier you begin training your Yorkie the better off they will be in their adult years.  The key to a healthy and well-adjusted Yorkie is not just in training them but also in making sure that they get the right nutrition.

we will focus on the training aspect of your teacup Yorkie.  To begin with, it is important to understand that there are different kinds of dogs, so depending on the type of dog you have will determine what kind of training would be best suited for them.  There are four types of dogs namely; reward-based dogs, classical conditioning dogs, aversive dogs, and a combination of all three.

Be patient – it may take a while for your yorkies to learn new commands

Well before you get discouraged, know this: it is not an impossible task.  It will probably take some time, but once your puppy gets the hang of it, there is nothing he or she won’t do for you.

The first thing to teach your dog is the “sit” command.  This is a very important exercise that will serve as a basis for many other commands.

To start with this trick, begin by holding a treat in front of your Yorkie’s nose.  Wait until their head is directly in line with the treat, then place it on top of their nose so that it forces them to look upwards.

As soon as they do this, say “sit,” and at the same time push down on their rear end so that their bottom hits the floor.  When they are sitting, give them the treat and praise them with “good boy!” or “good girl!”

Once your Yorkie is completing this action successfully consistently, it is time for them to learn how to sit when you say the command without having food in front of them or pushing them down.  To do this, hold the treat in your hand and bring it upwards towards their nose to get them to look up.

Reward good behavior and ignore bad behavior

Teaching your teacup Yorkies good behaviors can be made easier by rewarding good behavior with treats or praise.  It’s important to only reward the teacup Yorkie. When they are exhibiting. The desired behavior, otherwise, you are encouraging them to do. Whatever it takes to get a treat.  Ignoring bad behavior is another way to make teacup Yorkie training easier.  When they exhibit bad behavior, you should neither reward nor reprimand them, as this only encourages the  Yorkie to continue the behavior.

Praise is an excellent way to encourage Yorkie

Praise is an excellent way to encourage and reward Yorkie when they exhibit desirable behavior.  It is important to only praise the Yorkie. When they are acting in a way that you want them to, or else it could come off as insincere.

Yorkie are a great dog breed for people who live in apartments or condominiums. They do well with apartment life and don’t need to be walk too often. They adapt easily to new environments. And they can learn many commands quickly. However, it is important that you start training your Yorkie. When he/she is young so you have time to work through any bad habits before the habit. Becomes ingrained over several months of not correcting them. It is also crucial that you remain consistent with your commands and rewards; if one day you reward your dog every time he sits on command. But then refuse to give him his food bowl after sitting down at dinner. This inconsistency will confuse most dogs.
