Things To Do in Liwa Desert

Must Read

If you like to ski, then the snow-covered mountains are a great opportunity. If you prefer a little more adventure, you could go dune bashing by yourself. But I recommend including it in your tour package.

Length of Desert

The LIWA is like an oasis – it’s surrounded by desert, on all sides. But the desert is located just in Abu Dhabi’s area and its size reaches as far as Saudi Arabia. What this means is that there are many things to see when travelling in the desert – because it’s long and there is a lot to offer.

Adventure Factors

A desert may seem like a boring place at first glance. But, if you look closely, you’ll see there are many interesting activities to do in the beautiful location. Forget sightseeing and try an adventure during your visit! You can indulge in quad biking or dune bashing on a daily basis. These are not regular activities. However, you can ask for them when booking the excursion. This is quick and easy to do.

Sand boarding:

Another interesting desert adventure activity, sand boarding is for people who want to experience the beauty of the desert from a different viewpoint. Under expert supervision, the activity is safe and quite thrilling. Why not join the bandwagon of adventure travelers today?

Resorts

Lots of resorts are in and around Liwa. To find a good one for you, depending on your budget is easy. All the details are available online so it’s not time consuming at all to look into the options. The resorts are full of facilities like well furnished rooms with dining options and other amenities like swimming pools to entertain guests. This ensures that they enjoy a fabulous stay at the resort, and when they step out, they feel revived from their vacation. One of these amazing resorts is Qasr Al Sarab which just opened for tourism.

Car museum

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is home to some of the finest automobiles. In addition to the world class cars on the highway, when you are on your way to this part of the world, make sure to stop and visit the car museum. It houses cars of all types, from classic and modern models all under one roof. The visit is free and a treat for any car lover. This is the chance to learn about the history and evolution of cars. Everything from when they came into existence until what they are like today is showcased beautifully in this desert car museum. Who is this article really for? Maybe not engineering and MBA grads just starting their career as a PM. Maybe for people who have transitioned into the role or someone who hasn’t spent a lot of time working as one.

Tal Moreeb

Tal Moreeb is the next destination on my list. Located at 300 metres (1000 feet) altitude, this is one of the highest sand hills in the world and will offer a lifetime experience for all visitors. In Arabic, this place has the name “the scary mountain,” which should be a warning to people with weak hearts not to visit. Tal Moreeb is located 22 kilometers (about 14 miles) from the centre of the desert.

Sunset Photo

The earliest one could tell would be memories, but today we have technology. If we have beautiful memories, we have photographs to capture it. Taking pictures is a vital part of any trip, especially in Dubai, which offers a number of beautiful locations with stunning views. The desert sunset experience captures the sun disappearing against a resilient blue sky. Taking pictures keeps these moments fresh in your mind. Why not take your camera and make sure you can relive them whenever you want?

Tents

I love going on LIWA desert tours. In the past, people who lived in the desert days only had tents as a temporary home. This is why caravans would always be on the move, searching for water and other resources, because there was nothing to rely on. But today is different! We know we can get everything we need and want from our mobile phones. The wilderness is gorgeous, and you can stay in tents to relive those old days. The tents have all the basic facilities to ensure that you enjoy your stay here. There are budget accommodations and luxury accommodations, depending on what you need and what you’re willing to spend. Talk to the executives to learn more about this.

Quad bikes at LIWA:

Adventure lovers go to the Dunes for more than just sightseeing, right? For those of you who were skeptical about the LIWA Desert and thought it only offered plain sightseeing opportunities, we hope we’ve opened your eyes. The desert is a land of opportunity and offers a lot more than just plain sightseeing. Even for the adventure lovers, there is more to savoring the beauty of the desert. Yes! If you want to experience the adrenaline rush, we recommend trying out the quad bikes at LIWA. For those of you who don’t know what these bikes are, let’s do a little research and find out. These bikes are exclusively designed for the rugged desert terrain, which means they offer excellent support as you ride through it. You’ll be glad to know that LIWA has these bikes available, but they’re only available as an addition to your excursion tour package.

Highest Dunes at UAE:

The LIWA desert is home to some beautiful sand dunes. Some of these dunes hold the record for being the tallest sand dunes in the world. One visit to LIWA will give you the opportunity to experience a different aspect of the desert, one which will in all likelihood refresh your mind.

Qars Al Sarab

Great, let me take you on a journey through the desert! The architecture, food and culture on my LIWA tours are all like a time traveling machine that take you back to a romantic era. All LIWA tours include a visit to the prestigious Qars Al Sarab. Navigating the desert is easy with expert tour organising services provided by us, making this journey really easy.

Attractions nearby:

There are plenty of places around the desert that would make for a good day trip with your friends. For example, you can take a ride to Fort and other places in the surrounding area. If you’re into dune-watching, there are some pretty sweet views of the city at night from nearby dunes. The car museum is home to some of the finest cars in the region, and if you like wildlife-watching, you can take a trip to a nearby wildlife sanctuary. Previously owned by the Sheikh, this sanctuary is now open to the public and houses rare species from around the region.

Events at LIWA desert:

I’ve never seen a paragraph this long at the start of an article before, so let me break it down for you. Life in the desert isn’t dull, but rather quite interesting and a visit to LIWA will prove that. If you opt to stay overnight, you have the chance to experience an exquisite desert safari which also includes cultural programs, and more. There are other events that we schedule as part of our tours. For more information on these events, please contact our executives. Additionally, you can also look for events coming up near your hotel or resort.

Plan your trip today:

Book your Tour for Liwa Oasis from Captain Dunes. All the tours are listed online, and you can customize your package according to your requirements. How long you stay there is really up to you. You can book a tour for a few days if you only want to see the desert, or book for a month or even longer if you want to do all the activities on offer. Our staff will help you plan a perfect trip for your extended family.
