3 Different Types of Exercise to Practice From Anywhere

Must Read

Did you know that only 23.2% of American adults over 18 meet the Physical Activity Guidelines for aerobic and muscle-strengthening activity? If you live a sedentary lifestyle, then you’re probably feeling a little guilty now.

While you might have a busy life, it’s always worth setting aside some time to get an exercise routine in. That way, you’ll have a healthier future!

Read on for 3 types of exercise you can practice from home or anywhere you wish!

1. Brisk Walking

You can’t really do this exercise “from home”, but you can certainly do it from anywhere. Whether you’re at home, at work, or on vacation, you can always leave the building and briskly walk for 30 minutes or so.

What’s great about this exercise is you don’t need any equipment to do it. You don’t even need to get changed!

Another added benefit is you can get some fresh air, see the beautiful scenery outside, and get some vitamin D if the sun’s out. It’ll do you a world of good to get out once in a while!

If you can’t get outside due to bad weather, try running up and down the stairs for a little bit to get your heart rate going. On the other hand, if you want something more difficult, go hiking!

2. Strength Training

This is another type of exercise you can do anywhere since you don’t need specialized equipment. You can bring along some barbells and dumbbells. But you can also use whatever you have in the house (such as cans of food or jugs of water) or even your own body weight to build up some muscle.

Some exercises to try here include push-ups, pull-ups, curls, squats, and should presses.

3. Belly Dancing

You might laugh and think dancing’s not a type of exercise. But if done correctly, it certainly can!

Belly dancing involves the skilled use of certain muscle groups to perform a graceful dance. Try doing a 30-minute session and your muscles will be screaming afterward!

You can do belly dancing anywhere, so long as you can listen to music. Using your earbuds counts too. You’ll get to do one of the most fun types of aerobic exercise, as you’ll get to listen to nice tunes while getting fit!
