3 Fun Activities to Try in Orlando, FL

Must Read

Aptly named the Sunshine State, Florida averages 270 days of sun each year, making it the perfect travel destination for those looking for some fun in the sun. If you’re curious about the numbers, this state alone attracts over 120 million visitors each year–and that’s not even pre-pandemic levels, which is closer to 130 million visitors per year.

There’s a reason people continue to flock to this state for vacation: the variety of fun activities Florida provides. Whether you’re looking for group activities for kids or fun indoor activities with your friends, Florida has got it all. Keep reading for some group activity ideas for your next Orlando trip!

1. Escape Rooms

If you road-tripped down to Florida with your best buds, you may think, the last place I want to be is stuck in a room with these guys. No offense, I love them but I need a break.

The crazy thing about being in an escape room is that when you’re in them, you forget all about boundaries. You forget all about the trivial disagreements you guys had along the journey. In that room, everyone has the same singular goal on their mind: to escape the room successfully.

If you and your team are up for the challenge, stop by The Escape Ventures located in Waterford Towers near UCF for one of Orlando’s most challenging and immersive escape rooms. You see, group activities don’t all have to be cheesy and dull.

2. Bok Tower Gardens

Only an hour outside of Orlando, Florida, a beautiful botanical garden sits on one of Florida’s highest peaks: Bok Tower Gardens. This national historic landmark was a gift to the American people by its founder, Edward William Bok, back in 1929.

At this sanctuary, you can wander amongst acres of landscape, watch Spring breathe new life into the many native and exotic plants, flowers, and trees, and listen to the singing towers that play twice a day.

You can also drop in on the myriad of fun activities for adults that the garden hosts including:

  • live concerts
  • festivals
  • meditative yoga
  • mindful art

If you’re looking for a spot to unwind and relax, the Bok Tower Gardens may be your cup of tea. Admire the beauty, bask in the sun, and revel in the peace!

3. Disney World

This one is a no-brainer. When you’re down in Orlando, Florida, there’s one monumental spot you need to hit: Walt Disney World.

Home to four major theme parks, as well as two water parks, Walt Disney World is a magical universe for both kids and adults alike. Weaving amongst the sea of Disney cartoon characters and wide-eyed, grinning children, you’ll find plenty of fun activities here to keep yourself and the rest of the family entertained.

Planning to stay at Disney World for a few days? Check out Disney’s special offer on their Disney Resort hotels. You can save up to $100 per night when you book a stay at one of their Resort hotels between March 6, 2022, and July 7, 2022.
